Simon's log house

Finally able to start the log house . I had the basement put in last year and temporary roof over it. Now this year logs are going up this was all done in a week and half. We are starting the second floor now and there is a 20 foot ridge pole that goes in the living room all the way to the roof in the open living room. More pictures to come.

This is what was done today . The wife already told me that she doesn't want to see my climbing deer stand on that log that is in the living room.

Was nice to rent a big forklift. Didn't have to lift those logs to the second floor. Log rafters going up.

Jim Barna log homes our is the meadow creek. It was cheaper getting the basic kit and stick lumber your better off buying from somewhere local.

The rain slowed us down but now some nice weather we're back at it.
